Maca Chia Pudding – a dessert for breakfast!

If you’re like me, some mornings I wake up and think I really fancy something nice yet healthy to eat for brekky today! This maca chia pudding ticks both of those boxes! It’s sweetened with mango and has lots of fertility goodness.

First up it contains maca, a South American superfood that is said to be a great hormonal balancer and may help with increasing your sex-drive. Then there are the chia seeds which will provide some much-needed protein to see you through the first part of your day but also some omega-3s which are important for healthy eggs and sperm.  And the mango, apart from tasting divine is packed full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

Oh, and it is so simple to make or better still, make it the night before so it’s ready to eat when you’re ready in the morning.


  • 1 mango cheek cut into cubes, with a few extra pieces put to one side
  • 3 tbsp of ground chia seeds
  • 1 cup of milk (I use coconut milk or diluted coconut cream)
  • 1 tbsp of maca powder

Simply blend all ingredients in your blender until thick and creamy.  Pour into a jar or serving bowl and leave for 10 minutes or overnight.  Top with the extra chopped mango before serving.  If you need it a bit sweeter, add a tablespoon of honey to the blender or, a few pieces of chopped banana.
